Simon’s Soup Kitchen is taking the following steps to protect our clients and volunteers from the spread of COVID-19. We are closely monitoring global developments regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), and we are fully focused on protecting the health and safety of our volunteers and clients.

To comply with guidance from local health authorities, we are implementing several measures to protect everyone.


New measures include: 

Hand sanitizer stationed at each entrance for clients and volunteers to utilize. 

Beverage Station volunteers will now serve all beverages included water.

Extra silverware must remain in the original containers and no longer left out in baskets.

Effective immediately, all bread baskets and bowls will be sanitized before and after each use.


As a reminder:

Please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before wearing gloves. 

If you change tasks, use the restroom, or sneeze or cough please CHANGE YOUR GLOVES!

No handling of anything food related items without single use gloves.

Food on serving line must remain covered at all time.

No eating or sampling while serving.

All Kitchen counters should be washed and sanitized with a bleach.

We ask anyone who is sick to stay home, especially those with respiratory symptoms including fever, cough and/or difficulty breathing.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
 
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.  We thank you for all your do for Simon’s Soup Kitchen and the communities we have the privilege to support.
